Alliteration Project:
Determined dragon delivering doughnuts
Project: I created this illustration for a typography class that I took. The project was to illustrate an alliterative sentence. I wanted to create something that would align with my children's book portfolio and my love for fantasy.

Initial thumbnail sketches and color comps.
I decided to go with this pastel pink and purple color palette. I then began to work on the linework and color blocking. At first I had the dragon facing the left, but decided to flip it to move the reader's eye. Additionally I had some doughnuts falling out of the delivery bag, but decided against using that element in the final. He is determined after all.
I added more textures and details and ended with this final illustration:
